One adult and three juveniles were arrested Sept. 1 after police responded to reports of a shooting in Wallace Marine Park in West Salem.
Salem Police received reports of gunfire and a possible female victim late in the evening on Sept. 1, according to a news release.
Officers arrested three 17-year-old boys and a 25-year-old man, all from Salem, police said. A loaded handgun and a short-barreled rifle were seized from two of the juveniles.
Officers searched the park for victims but did not find anyone injured, police said. They used a drone to help with the search.
The teens were taken to the Marion County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, interfering with a police officer, unlawful possession of a short-barreled rifle and unlawful use of a weapon.
The 25-year-old man was taken to the Marion County Jail on a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm.
