Investigation is ongoing after a crash Saturday took the life of a 19-year-old man operating an electrical motorbike on Victory Highway in the Town of Erwin.
At about 11:24 a.m., Painted Post-based New York State Police responded to a report of an accident involving an electric motorbike and a pickup truck with a trailer on Victory Highway.
State Police said the preliminary investigation revealed that the operator of an electric motorbike, a 19-year-old man, entered the roadway from an address on Victory Highway and failed to yield the right of way to a 2019 Dodge pickup truck hauling a trailer, traveling eastbound.
As a result, the e-bike collided with the 2019 Dodge pickup and its trailer, operated by a 31-year-old Painted Post man.
