STAR-ADVERTISER STAR-ADVERTISER Two Honolulu police officers were assaulted by suspects in separate incidents in Aiea and Honolulu Saturday evening.
At about 5 :30 p.m. Saturday in Aiea, a 39-year-old woman “assaulted an HPD officer during an investigation, ” according to a police description of the event. The 39-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a law enforcement officer in the first degree for attacking a 31-year-old officer.
At 8 :37 p.m. Saturday in Honolulu, a 29-year-old woman was arrested after she allegedly attacked a 24-year-old officer who was trying to arrest her for drunk driving at Ala Moana Boulevard near Koula Street.
“An adult female was arrested for (impaired driving ) after being involved in an accident. The female became combative during the investigation and assaulted an officer. The female was arrested after she resisted arrest, ” according to an HPD description of the incident.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a law enforcement officer in the first degree, impaired driving, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.
Both woman remain in police custody, according to HPD’s adult arrest log.
