Akron police say two people were wounded in a shooting early Easter Sunday.
Officers were called to Summa Akron City Hospital at 5:48 a.m. for a report of shooting victims being treated there.
The victims, a 23-year-old female and a 37-year-old male, told officers that they were shot while sitting inside a vehicle near the intersection of Johnston and Wilson streets.
The shots were reportedly fired from a white SUV with tinted windows.
Investigators say the male was hit in the leg and elbow and the female suffered a graze to the arm.
More than a dozen shell casings were recovered in the 800 block of Johnston Street, according to police.
A home and a vehicle in a driveway were also struck.
A subsequent search of a home recovered a firearm and additional shell casings.
The shooting remains under investigation and no arrests have been made as of April 21.
