Volvo Group Australia President and CEO Martin Merrick says they took the “world’s largest order” for Volvo medium duty electric trucks and by 2030 roughly “50 per cent” of the Volvo trucks they sell will be electric.
“The full Volvo range has been electrified so we can offer diesel and electric today,” Mr Merrick said.
“The full range that we have, there’s six models, from the very light vehicle … to our heavy vehicles as prime movers that can have 44 tonne gross vehicle weight.
“There’ll be a blend of solutions.”
