CommSec’s Tom Piotrowski says the US market “took fright” on Friday as investors brace for interest rate rises this week.
He said interest rate markets have been moderating and trending lower in the past couple of weeks after some “encouraging figures”.
“The US Federal Reserve adjudicating on rates on Thursday morning local time and then the inflation figures midweek,” he told Sky News Australia.
“They really are the high point in terms of what we have got to get through on the challenges.”
