More about the new board members
Pasternak, 37, is a realtor who recently served on the Pueblo Planning and Zoning Commission. He listed water as the most pressing issue facing Pueblo West and said his focus will be on engaging with experts, stakeholders, and the community to develop a comprehensive plan that addresses water needs responsibly and effectively.
Potter, 49, is retired from the military and currently works for Black Hills Energy, Colorado Gas. He said among the issues he would like to help Pueblo West address are water resource management, conflict of interest deals being negotiated, intergovernmental cooperative issues, and a lack of transparency from the metro district to the community.
Roberts, 61, is a retired Federal Bureau of Prisons employee who operates a couple of home-based businesses. He also lists water as an important issue for the district, pointing out a desire to see community wells producing and servicing the needs of the residents now that water filtration technology has improved.
Pasternak, Potter and Roberts will be joining current board members Brian Axworthy and Bill Vickers on the board when they are sworn in at 5 p.m., May 27, in the district boardroom located at 356 S. McCulloch Blvd. Room #103.
