Five people, including four El Paso Police Department officers, were injured in a crash on Interstate 10 West in Central El Paso, authorities said.

The crash occurred about 1:10 p.m. Monday, July 7, on I-10 West near Copia Street, El Paso Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Robert Gomez said in a news alert. The cause of the crash was not released.

“At this time, no further information is available, and we appreciate the community’s support and patience,” the police news alert stated.

All lanes of I-10 West near the crash are closed. Traffic is being diverted off I-10 West at the US 54 interchange, according to Texas Department of Transportation officials, who posted on X. Additionally, all lanes on Gateway West Boulevard at Raynolds Street are closed to traffic.

No further information has been released.
