A pedicab driver who broke into a London restaurant and stole £24,000 worth of wine from its cellar has pleaded guilty to three counts of burglary.
CCTV footage dated 6 June shows the man, 61-year-old Iuliu Kubola, using a wheelie bin to cart dozens of bottles from the restaurant into his vehicle outside.
He returned to the restaurant on 15 June and stole a further three bottles, before a final visit on 19 June when nothing was taken. He was arrested three days later.
City of London Police said an officer recognised Kubola in a chance encounter following a briefing, leading to his detention. He will be sentenced in September.
