The next Hawaii Career Expo is set for Wednesday at the Neal Blaisdell Exhibition Hall with more than 100 booths featuring Hawaii’s top employers, including city and state government agencies.
Sponsored by the Honolulu Star-Advertiser and presented by Star Events, the free event is open to all job-seekers and allows talented candidates to meet hiring managers from a variety of companies including First Hawaiian Bank and Hawaiian Airlines, the military and government agencies, organizers said.
“Each year, thousands of people participate in our career expos to connect with hundreds of recruiters and HR managers throughout the state, ” said Star Events Director Denise Ching. “This month, we are excited to feature opportunities in a wide variety of job categories including law enforcement, construction, nursing, food service, tourism and hospitality, financial institutions, emergency services, retail, technology, transportation and so much more.”
Job-seekers will be able to learn about available jobs and have one-on-one conversations with recruiters at the event while also distributing their resumes. Ching said the series of expos has helped employers connect with talented candidates seeking jobs in a variety of fields.
The Career Expo is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Neal Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. Attendees may present a printed copy of their resume at the front door for free admission. Preregistration is recommended at.
