Pennsylvania American Water will temporarily close a section of the walking path around the Lake Scranton reservoir from Monday through the end of September because of increased truck traffic from nearby maintenance work.
The path will close from where it meets the road at the small stone bridge to the dam near the fishing pier, the water company said in an announcement.
The closure is a safety precaution necessitated by an increase in traffic from trucks removing material from the area.
Visitors are reminded not to walk around closed gates or fencing to access the closed portions of the path.
