Two closed Rite Aid locations in Raymond and Newmarket are set to become Dollar General stores, according to bankruptcy filings.

In Manchester, Catholic Medical Center is set to take over the lease of a Rite Aid store on the West Side.

Dollar General was the successful bidder for the leases at 3 Freetown Road, Raymond, and 73 Exeter Road, Newmarket. The chain has bought out Rite Aid leases across the country.

Other bidders for Rite Aid locations across the country include Five Below, Ross, Burlington Coat Factory and several smaller pharmacy chains.

Dollar General opened 156 new stores and relocated 23 stores in the first quarter of this year. The company hopes to open approximately 575 more stores by the end of the year, according to financial filings.

The Rite Aid bidding process included more than 810 leases across 15 states. Of the 810, 36 Rite Aid locations were available in New Hampshire, according to A&G Real Estate Partners.

The store in Raymond is 11,180 square feet while the one in Newmarket is 10,000 square feet.

The Newmarket store was set to end its pharmacy business on Tuesday, according to Rite Aid’s website. Raymond was to close Saturday.

The owner of Catholic Medical Center, HCA, was the successful bidder for the Rite Aid lease at 122 MacGregor St. on the West Side of Manchester. The medical center could move forward with the purchase of the property, according to spokeswoman Laura Montenegro.

“The property will immediately help us expand parking access for our Emergency Department — an important step in improving convenience and access for our patients and visitors — and we look forward to sharing additional details about future development plans with our community soon,” she said in a statement.

Stores in Plymouth, Newmarket, Portsmouth and Salem were set to stop their pharmacy business this week. The Rite Aid in Lincoln — the only pharmacy in town — is set to close on Aug. 4.

The lease for the store at 53 S. Broadway in Salem was bought out by the landlord — 29 Rockingham Realty Trust and George Apostolicas. The backup bidder was HCA Health Care.

Colliers, a global real estate firm, has listed the 12,000-square-foot Rite Aid location at 142 Main St. in Salem as being a “highly visible downtown location near The Depot, South Broadway/Route 28, Tuscan Village.”
