“El 03” is reportedly the brother of Roberto G.H., also known as “El 04,” pronounced “El Cero Cuatro,” who is reputed to be the founder of the faction of Los Cabrera in Ojinaga, reported El Heraldo de Chihuahua.

Full names were not disclosed by authorities in keeping with rules in Mexico regarding the naming of crime suspects.

Two of six alleged members of Los Cabrera, a faction of the Sinaloa drug cartel in Chihuahua state, are displayed following their arrest in a special operation by Chihuahua state police and the Mexican military in the Chihuahua City region on July 27, 2025.

The arrests occurred over the weekend in the Chihuahua City region in a coordinated operation involving Mexican federal forces, Chihuahua state police and the Mexican army and National Guard, the state attorney general’s office said.

Rodolfo P.G. and Martin Eduardo G.H. were arrested in Chihuahua City while Michael Ebodio A.H. and Francisco Javier A.R. were taken into custody at another location also in the state capital city, the attorney general’s office stated.

The arrests prompted increased security and the blocking of streets surrounding the Mexican federal attorney general’s offices in Chihuahua City to prevent any possible attempts to free the reputed cartel members. The men were arrested on federal drug and firearms charges.

State police reported the seizure of two vehicles, five handguns, a rifle, a kilo of cocaine along with 30 small baggies of cocaine and two baggies of crystal methamphetamine plus a dozen cell phones and radio communications gear.

There is speculation that the arrests could be associated with an investigation into the death of Alan Valenzuela, a 20-year-old U.S. citizen from Presidio, killed in a shooting at a bar in Ojinaga on July 6. The young man’s death was reported by Marfa Public Radio and The Big Bend Sentinel.
