State fair events include Disney on Ice, bull riding
The fair has food, rides and vendors, but there are also several opportunities for live entertainment.
From Sept. 11 to 15, Disney on Ice will hold performances of its Let’s Dance! program with ice skating, stunts, special effects and characters from Disney classic movies like “The Lion King,” “Frozen,” “Moana” and others. Tickets range from $20 to $70 and includes admission to the fair.
The Oklahoma State Fair urges attendees to not buy tickets from resell sites.
Three nights of bull riding begins Sept. 19 with the Wildcatters PBR Teams Challenge. The Oklahoma Wildcatters are OKC’s hometown team in the PBR Teams Series. Tickets begin at $46.75 and include gate admission to the fair.
That’s just a fraction of the events that are scheduled for the fair. Some of the new events in 2025 include an acrobatic circus, a dog stunt show and a lounge with music-themed bingo and live performances by local musicians.
Concerts at Oklahoma State Fair
Marquee performances at the 2025 Oklahoma State Fair include sets from Trace Adkins and Casey Donahew on Sept. 17.
Other acts performing during the fair on the Chickasaw Country Entertainment Stage include Joe Nichols, Sister Sledge, Black Stone Cherry, Herman’s Hermits, Quiet Riot (with RATT vocalist Stephen Pearcy), with Elvis and ZZ Top tributes.
All shows on the Chickasaw Country Entertainment Stage are free with gate admission. A second stage, the Bandshell, will be open every day during the fair to feature Oklahoma musical artists.
When are Oklahoma State Fair discount days?
There are several days where fair-goers can get in the gate for a discount. On opening day, Thursday, Sept. 11, the fair will celebrate first responders and military on the 24th anniversary of 9/11. Everyone gets in for half price that day, and can purchase a $4 Little Book of BIG DEAL$ and buy an all-day armbands for $25.
On Monday, Sept. 15, all active duty, retired, veterans and their spouses receive free outside gate admission and $5 Sky Eye Wheel ride tickets. Military ID is required.
The following day on Tuesday, Sept. 16, gate admission for everyone is just $4, plus nearly every food stand will be offering items for $4. That Wednesday, fair admission is free for ages 55 and up.
Gate admission will be reduced again on Thursday, Sept. 18, costing just $8 for everyone over 5 years old. That Friday, college students with an ID can get in for just $5.
Free parking at the state fair
Luckily for the thousands of people attending the fair every day, there is plenty of free parking to the north and south of the fairgrounds.
There are also paid parking spots closer to the gates, and spaces for RV parking. Both paid and free parking are accessible from NW 10, May Avenue and Reno Avenues. A tram will run inside the fairgrounds each day.
This year, the fair is going cashless for its paid parking spots. A credit or debit card must be used. Apple, Google and other ‘card not present’ method of payments are not accepted at this time. A 3% fee will be added to each transaction.
