Police ID 28-year-old killed in Chesapeake triple shooting

CHESAPEAKE — Police have identified a man who died following a triple shooting early Sunday morning in the southern Western Branch area of the city.

Darrien Rakwon Duck, a 28-year-old Chesapeake resident, died following a shooting before 2:40 a.m. at the intersection of Holly Cove Drive and Schooner Trail, according to a release. That’s located in a neighborhood of townhomes off Airline Boulevard near Southwestern Park.

While an investigation was underway, police were notified of two other shooting victims connected with this incident who had walked into other hospitals, the news release stated. They were both suffering from wounds not considered life-threatening.

The shooting is still under investigation.
