A post-sunset United Launch Alliance rocket launch illuminated the darkness during the USSF-106 mission from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

A 202-foot Vulcan rocket with four solid rocket boosters lifted off on the Space Force national security mission at 8:56 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, from Launch Complex 41.
