An Easton man is the winner of the “$1,000 a Week for Life” lottery game.

Pierre Durandisse, of South Easton, won a $1,000-a-week-for-life prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$1,000 a Week for Life” $5 instant ticket game, the Massachusetts State Lottery announced in a written statement on Thursday, Aug. 21.

Durandisse chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $800,000 (before taxes), according to the Lottery.

What will he do with the money?

Durandisse said he plans on investing the winnings, according to the written statement.

The winning ticket was purchased at Liquor World, 25 Robert Drive in South Easton. The store will receive a $10,400 bonus for its sale of this ticket, according to the lottery.
