LANSING — Three teens were shot on the city’s north side on Thursday, Aug. 21, Lansing police confirmed.
Officers responded to the 3800 block of Wilson Avenue for a shooting about 8:30 p.m.
They found three males with gunshot wounds, ages 16, 17 and 19, Lansing Police Department spokesperson Jordan Gulkis said in a statement.
She added no arrests have been made.
No additional information was released, and it wasn’t immediately clear what led to the shooting. Police did not indicate whether they teens were hospitalized or released their hometowns.
The area is near the intersection of Grand River Avenue and Waverly Road, south of the Capital Region International Airport.
It’s the second shooting in that area in a month.
On July 20, officers responded to the 3800 block of Wilson Avenue and found a 36-year-old man with a gunshot wound.
Gulkis said the investigation into the Aug. 21 shooting is continuing, and anyone with information is asked to call the department at 517-483-4600, Crime Stoppers at 517-483-7867 or send a private message through the department’s Facebook page.
