A federal grand jury indicted a 42-year-old Pensacola man on one count of arson, the U.S. Attorney announced Aug. 25.
The jury indicted Gregory Simonds for arson after he allegedly used an explosive device to damage a Jimmy John’s in Fort Walton Beach, which injured at least one person, according to the release.
In the release, the U.S. Attorney reports the arson occurred at 792 Beal Parkway in Fort Walton Beach, which is the same address as Jimmy John’s store 3452.
Simonds is scheduled for his first appearance on Aug. 27.
The U.S. Attorney did not provide further information regarding the incident.
