Not one Kentucky institution made the Top 100 in Forbes’ List of America’s top colleges this year.

Highlighting 500 schools that cultivate successful, high-earning and influential graduates from diverse economic backgrounds, the University of Kentucky secured the 233rd spot on Forbes’ list. Meanwhile, the University of Louisville was ranked further back at 309th.

Berea College and Bellarmine University also made the list, with Berea landing the 321st spot and Bellarmine barely making the cut at 493rd.

How did Forbes rank its Top college list?

The 500 schools were ranked based exclusively on outcomes for undergraduates, Forbes wrote. The rankings also noted that American graduate education is primed for a huge shakeup as Congress caps how much graduate students can borrow, and the Trump administration curbs research spending and student visas.
