Watch search dogs in action at Kohler-Andrae State Park

SHEBOYGAN – Kohler-Andrae State Park will host a K-9 Search & Rescue event from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31. The event will take place at the Sanderling Nature Center, 1020 Beach Park Lane, Sheboygan, according to a community announcement.

Participants will learn how human and K-9 members of Great Lakes Search & Rescue assist in locating missing persons and recovering evidence. The organization has been providing specially trained dogs for these purposes since 1993.

The event will begin with a 30-minute presentation in the auditorium. Weather permitting, attendees will move outdoors to observe the dogs in action. Pets are not allowed at the event.
