Insomnia Cookies ‘coming soon’ to downtown Montclair

Must read

Bakery chain Insomnia Cookies is bringing another store to North Jersey with an upcoming location in downtown Montclair, according to the company website.

Insomnia’s online store finder indicates that the franchise is “coming soon” to 332 Bloomfield Ave., though it does not provide an estimated opening date. Officials with the company could not immediately be reached for additional information.

Founded in 2003 by University of Pennsylvania student Seth Berkowitz, Insomnia offers a variety of cookies, brownies, ice cream and other sweet treats into the late night hours for pickup or delivery. Flavors range from classics such as chocolate chunk, snickerdoodle and oatmeal raisin to deluxe options like chocolate peanut butter cup and oatmeal chocolate walnut.

“We’re still serving up sweet rewards to the day dreamers and warming the after parties of the night-doers, growing a community of Insomniacs who love to stay up late,” the website reads.

Other nearby Insomnia locations include Hoboken, New Brunswick and numerous sites in New York City. Another is listed as coming soon to Jersey City.

The Montclair announcement marks the latest spot for residents with a sweet tooth to visit, after Chip City and Milk N’ Cookies both opened locations in the township within the past two years.
