Grambling State University officials say they are monitoring and implementing enhanced security after a multiple historically Black colleges and universities were placed on lockdown Thursday following threats.
Alabama State, Hampton and Southern universities were among several HBCUs that locked down Thursday morning due to potential threats. Southern later lifted their lockdown, but all campus activities and classes remained cancelled through Monday.

According to Communications Director Tisha Arnold, GSU is aware of reports of threats impacting several HBCUS. Arnold stated out of an abundance of caution, the University is monitoring the situation and implementing heightened security measures.
