SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Get ready for a gorgeous weekend as we enjoy a hint of fall in the air. Highs will stay near or slightly below average, topping out in the mid 80s. Expect abundant sunshine both Saturday and Sunday, with a refreshing northeast breeze today helping to keep things pleasantly comfortable.
However, that breeze also brings a high risk of rip currents along South Carolina and Georgia’s coastline. If you’re heading to the water, use caution. Winds will ease by Sunday and continue to calm into the start of the work week.
As we move into next week, a touch of humidity starts to return along with some warmer temperatures. High pressure keeps conditions dry, but highs will begin to climb back toward the upper 80s, and you’ll notice the mugginess creeping back in.
Looking ahead to the latter half of the work week, a low pressure system off the coast may bring a slight chance of a few coastal showers, but overall, the pattern stays relatively quiet.
