Must read

CANTON ‒ The Ohio State Highway Patrol will conduct an OVI checkpoint from 7 to 11 p.m. Sept. 13 at 1701 Mahoning Road NE.

The checkpoint is funded by federal grant funds.

“The checkpoint will also be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes,” the patrol said in a news release. “If you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink. Don’t let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired.”
