Palm Springs police have identified a local man as a suspect in a homicide that occurred Friday, Sept. 12, in the Desert Highland Gateway Estates neighborhood.
Titus Holland, a 48-year-old resident of Palm Springs, was arrested and booked into the John Benoit Detention Center on suspicion of homicide, police spokesperson Lt. Gustavo Araiza said in a statement.
Palm Springs police officers responded to a report of a possible drive-by shooting around 6:50 a.m. Friday near the intersection of Avenida Cerca and Corozon Avenue. Officers found a 64-year-old male resident of Palm Springs inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound.

Officers attempted CPR, but the victim died at the scene.
