Two teens face felony charges after at least one vehicle and one house were struck by gunfire Monday evening on Chula Street, according to Meadville Police Department.

One 14-year-old boy is accused of firing four shots at a person who was chasing him after the boy allegedly robbed the person, according to police. Another 14-year-old boy also faces charges in the incident. Because of their ages, police did not identify either youth.

No injuries were reported in the incident, which police responded to at about 8:24 p.m. when a caller described hearing gunshots and seeing “a white truck and a black male outside before hiding in his bedroom.”

Meadville Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The report produced a heavy police presence along Chula Street, a one-block street that extends north from Willow Street to Davis Street and runs parallel to South Main and Liberty streets, according to city police. The alleged shooter faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges. The other youth also faces felony and misdemeanor charges. A press release from police did not detail specific charges against the two youths.

Arrests in the case were made Wednesday, and the two juveniles remained in a Meadville Police Department holding cell until being placed in a shelter facility by Crawford County Juvenile Probation, police reported.
