Good Shepherd Lutheran Church to hold fall festival [Religion Digest]

• Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 4201 Stoudts Ferry Bridge Road, Muhlenberg Township, will hold a community fall festival next Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., rain or shine. There will be more than 35 local crafters and vendors with food to purchase and soups to go, kids’ activities and music by Pretzel City Chorus — Berks Harmony Quartet from noon-1 p.m. There will be a raffle for a $50 gift card to Redner’s for anyone bringing an item to donate to the Muhlenberg Churches Food Pantry. Attendees who complete the STAR MAP of Vendors will be entered into a drawing form $100 worth of Pennsylvania scratch-off lottery tickets.

• Nativity Lutheran Church, 1501 N. 13th St., Reading, will hold a grab-n-go spaghetti dinner on Oct. 2 from 4-6 p.m. Cost for the meal, which includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad and a roll, with extra meatballs two for $1, is $10. Pre-order by calling the church office at 610-374-3230 by Sept. 28 Walk-ins welcome. A variety of baked goods will be available to purchase.

• Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Douglass Township, Montgomery County, will have Coffee and Conversation on Sunday at 8:30 and 10 a.m. in the Welcome Center. Brown bag Bible study will be held on Wednesday at noon.

• Old Belleman’s Church, 3540 Belleman’s Church Road, Centre Township, will hold its annual Pennsylvania Dutch service next Saturday at 2 p.m. Old Belleman’s Church is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was dedicated in 1815. No heat, electricity or plumbing. The church features a Bohler single-manual hand pump pipe organ. The message will be presented by Caleb Franks.

• St. John’s Gernant’s Church (A Federated Congregation), 13 Gernant’s Church Road, Ontelaunee Township, will hold a designer bags/gift basket bingo on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. Cost is $25, qhixh includes a hot dog and a drink. Bible study will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Memorial Hall.

• United Church of Christ of Robesonia, 301 W. Penn Ave., will hold a healing worship service on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. Bible study will be held on Tuesday at 9 a.m. by Zoom. • The Southern Gospel concert by Second Chance Ministries scheduled for today at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 117 E. Arch St., Fleetwood, has been canceled due to the group’s transportation problems. Refunds will be issued.

• Christ Church Children’s Center will host is annual gala next Saturday from 7-10 p.m. at Christ Mertz Lutheran Church, 16 Fleetwood Road, Rockland Township. The adults-only evening will feature live music by the James Supra Band, a live auction, an online silent auction, appetizers and desserts.
