WORCESTER — Two people were injured at Polar Park Friday, Sept. 19, after a fireworks incident, fire officials confirmed.
Assistant Fire Chief Adam Roche said one person was taken to a hospital as a precaution after a “rack” of fireworks fell over just prior to being set off.
“The Worcester Fire Department was on scene for the ignition of the fireworks, and is investigating the cause of the incident,” Roche said. The Massachusetts Fire Marshal’s office was notified.
