Gabrielle strengthens amid wind shear and dust in central Atlantic
Gabrielle continues to strengthen in the central Atlantic and is not expected to make landfall before dissipating by the end of this coming week.
It has been a very disorganized storm thanks to strong windshear and Saharan dust. Once we get to Sunday morning, it should begin to get us to act together and reach category 1 status.
It is expected to reach category two strength, but by then it will probably have already moved past Bermuda.

The other tropical wave we have been keeping an eye on is still struggling in the central Atlantic due to that Saharan dust, but no long-term models have it coming anywhere close to Florida if it does develop.
