WARWICK – Breeze Airways will test the demand for international air travel from Rhode Island by launching an eight-week pilot program of weekly flights from Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport to Cancun, Mexico, a popular beach destination.
The flights, scheduled for eight consecutive Saturdays, have a base price of $159 each way. They begin Feb. 18 and end April 4. The Providence-Cancun flights are already available for booking on Breeze’s website, www.flybreeze.com.
“Rhode Island isn’t just a base for Breeze, it’s where a growing number of our Guests and Team Members call home,” said David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ founder and chief executive, “and we take great pride in being able to provide the convenient, elevated service our Guests have come to love, now on this new international flight.”
