E-bike rider killed in accident on upper Peach Street near Interstate 90

An Erie man died Sept. 25 while riding an electric bike along upper Peach Street near Interstate 90 in Summit Township.

The accident occurred around 10 p.m. in the 8000 block of Peach Street, according to Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook. James Fellows, 46, was taken to UPMC Hamot, where he was pronounced dead at 10:21 p.m.

The cause of death was blunt-force trauma, Cook said.

A message seeking comment from Pennsylvania State Police was not immediately returned Sept. 26.
