Allred, a former private school teacher in Plano, was previously the subject of a grooming incident in January 2024 after a 15-year-old student accused him of grooming and inappropriate advances. He resigned from Great Lakes Academy following his arrest.
“[The] Defendant pleads guilty and is found guilty on their plea and on the evidence beyond a reasonable doubt of the offense. Punishment is assessed 20 years confinement in TDCJ-ID. Credit for 1 day back time served,” Collin County Criminal Court records indicated on September 17.
Only the grooming charge has not been disposed of in the court record. The plea is listed as “open,” and on September 18, the court heard a motion to dismiss.
Each of these arrests was processed through the Collin County jail system. The Sheriff’s Office detains inmates at various stages during their legal proceedings. Charges include some of the most serious sex-related offenses under Texas law, carrying potential sentences ranging from several years to decades in prison if convicted.
