N.J. cops seek help identifying human remains found near park

New Jersey State Police are asking the public for help identifying human remains found in a wooded area in Atlantic County.

The remains found in Hamilton Township were determined to be those of white female, approximately 5-foot-4 tall and estimated to be between 50-70 years old, police said in a social media post.

The unidentified woman was wearing a plain red short-sleeve t-shirt and a hospital gown with a blue floral pattern, police said.

The remains were found on Aug. 28 at approximately 8:53 a.m. in a wooded area alongside Tuckahoe Road in the Estell Manor section of Hamilton.

Anyone with information should contact the crime unit at 609-256-0963. Anonymous tips are welcome.
