One person was killed after being struck by a vehicle while he was in the roadway following a previous crash late Saturday on Interstate 27 in south Lubbock.
The crash was reported about 11:14 p.m. Saturday on I-27 just north of 98th Street, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Investigators believe 30-year-old Brandon Guerrero of Lubbock was driving a 2018 Ford Escape north on I-27 and was involved in an initial, minor single-vehicle crash, which caused the vehicle to become disabled in the northbound lanes of the highway.
