Rejoice! The season here! No, it isn’t wabbit or duck season, this is South Florida in fall and that means our area green market season is going full swing.
Though Palm Beach County is home to plenty of marvelous markets, the grand daddy of them all is the West Palm Beach GreenMarket, with a bunch of awards to its name.
Started in 1995, this beloved waterfront gathering is attended by thousands of people every Saturday and will kick off its 31st season on Saturday, Oct. 4. They were ranked the number one market in the country in the USA TODAY 10Best “Best Farmers Market” in 2021, 2022 and 2023. They fell to second place in 2024 and 2025 — but still not too shabby. Last season featured 130 vendors and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Not just words, this year’s market will host an impressive 150 vendors with 45 newbies. The newcomers include Aloha Flowers LLC, Aroa Craft Yogurt, Bagel Brothers, Dr. Doughlittle, Hug In A Mug Tea, King of Hummus Inc., Limone Gelato and Sorbet, Simmer Down Bar & Grill Inc. and That Green Juice.
“This season, we are honoring the GreenMarket’s legacy as a community incubator,” said Angela Poco, marketing and community events manager for the City of West Palm Beach. “The GreenMarket continues to grow and help small businesses launch ‘From the Ground Up.’”
Of the more than 100 returning vendors, 14 are “legacy vendors” that have been at the market for more than 15 years. These include Boston Chowda, Ganache Bakery LLC, Havana Restaurant, Independent Seafood, Laurel Orchids, Le Petit Pain French Bakery, Love’s Flower Shop, Olive Oil of the World, Palm Beach Cider Donuts, Pasta Amore Gourmet Food Inc., Seaside Smoothie, Supernaturals LLC, The Ceviche and Guacamole House, and The Gourmet Pickle Peddler.
With a waterfront venue, it’s hard to beat West Palm Beach’s GreenMarket appeal, but Palm Beach County boasts several markets and each has its die hard fans. Here’s our list of what’s out there, starting with West Palm Beach’s.
