Light showers, drizzle arrive Saturday as low starts trek north

Must read

TODAY: Mostly Cloudy, PM Showers, Drizzle. Hi 63. Winds VRB 0-5 mph.

TONIGHT: Showers, Drizzle. Lo 56. Winds NE 5-10 mph.

SUNDAY: Dry Early, PM Light Showers, Drizzle. Hi 61. Lo 54.

Here we go. There’s still some uncertainty, but some details are becoming more clear as we get more data. We’re starting cool and even chilly for some as dry air continues to stick around. We’ll stay cloudy during the day before showers and drizzle eventually develops in the afternoon and evening, continuing overnight. These showers will be driven by a low to our north currently centered over Michigan.

We will start Sunday dry as the coastal low moves north. Some of the models show the rain shield overtaking the Midstate Sunday through Monday but more than likely, we’ll see light showers develop in the evening Sunday followed by a westward shift of the low into Monday that brings the rain shield our way. We’ll have updates as data continues to filter in! We’re dry beyond Monday so getting the rain now is necessary!
