A small plane crashed at about 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, in a field near Weyers Cave Road in Augusta County, Virginia State Police said.

The small plane, with two people on board, lost power shortly after taking off from Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport in Weyers Cave.

The plane landed north of the airport in a nearby field, striking a fence before coming to a stop, Virginia State Police said.

No injuries were reported.

Police said the Federal Aviation Administration has been notified.
