Apr. 28—A man in his late 40s or early 50s, who was hanging out in front of a store, allegedly yelled obscenities at people and struck a security employee’s boss with a sleeping bag.
A woman called the Kalispell Police Department, alleging another woman left a 1-year-old in a black Mazda crossover for at least 20 minutes and wanted officers to counsel her about leaving young children in cars.
A man wearing a white bandanna and riding a green ATV reportedly broke into a home and disconnected a trailer, leaving it in the driveway. A neighbor calling in the report said they thought he was involved in a previous incident that Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to. Drones and SWAT were dispatched to the location where the sliding door was found open. Law enforcement also located a man with a woman hiding in the back of a GMC Yukon by railroad tracks.
Officers received an online report of a stolen electric bicycle someone kept on their patio. The bicycle has a matte black finish with a Townie-brand logo in glossy black, in addition to a cell phone accessory and water bottle holder. The bike has an estimated value of $650.
A woman’s boyfriend allegedly showed up at her house “covered in blood” and said something about a truck. She was unable to get more information and said he seemed disoriented. Responding officers found a vehicle with front-end damage and that he had a felony warrant with the sheriff’s office. Medical personnel tended to a laceration on his head.
Two teens in a green and red truck allegedly shot a paintball at a car parked at a store. When an employee confronted the pair, the boys reportedly apologized, claiming they thought it was their friend’s car, and left. The employee called the police, saying they wanted to exchange information with the boys to have the car cleaned.
An obstinate man determined to speak to a female dispatcher reportedly called 911 several times and hung up. When he finally decided to say something, he expressed frustration that officers didn’t drive through the area after reporting a complaint. He became more upset when the dispatcher told him an officer tried to call him, but he didn’t answer, and began arguing, threatening to keep calling back if he didn’t get satisfaction.
A bank customer allegedly left drug paraphernalia on the ground at a drive-thru teller. The paraphernalia, which turned out to be a marijuana pipe, was tossed in the trash.
