May 8—GRAND FORKS — A Grand Forks man appeared in court on two felony charges Thursday, May 8, after law enforcement recently pulled him over and allegedly found methamphetamine and paraphernalia on his person.

Timothy George Clark, 54, is charged with Class A felony possession of at least 50 grams of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and Class C felony unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. The Class A felony has a maximum 20-year sentence.

A Grand Forks County sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Clark on Tuesday, May 6, in the 600 block of County Highway 7, according to a declaration of probable cause summary filed in the case. A Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force officer assisted with the traffic stop.

Clark was on probation in Grand Forks at the time; the task force agent contacted probation, which authorized a search of Clark’s person and motorcycle. Law enforcement found a plastic bag inside a saddle bag of the motorcycle which contained a white, crystal-like substance that weighed approximately 108.5 grams and tested presumptively positive for methamphetamine, the summary said.

Law enforcement also alleged finding a glass pipe with residue on it — that also tested positive for methamphetamine — inside the plastic bag. Clark allegedly admitted to using and selling methamphetamine in Grand Forks.

His preliminary hearing and/or arraignment is scheduled for 9 a.m. June 16.
