Roads remain closed in the area where a deadly crash killed one person and injured several more in West El Paso.
Clean up is still underway on Friday, May 9, more than 24 hours after a crash involving a semitrailer and several vehicles on Thursday, officials said.
All lanes are still closed at Spur 16 at Talbot Drive, as well as Southwestern and Transmountain drives. Drivers will be detoured back onto Interstate 10 East.
Police did not give a clearing time, while the Texas Department of Transportation in El Paso said all lanes will open when cleanup is complete.
Traffic scene investigators and fire crews were on the scene of the crash, which happened in the early morning hours of Thursday, May 8.
Video captured near the crash shows the semitrailer engulfed in flames, traveling at a high rate of speed, while another video captured the aftermath, with debris and wreckage spread throughout the area.
Police have not released the cause of the crash or any other information on the victims.
