It seems like the chilly weather has some final things to say as it makes room for springtime.
The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a frost advisory for central southern Ohio counties.
Franklin, Licking, Pickaway, Fairfield, Delaware and Union counties have been placed under the advisory, which begins at 2 a.m. May 10 and expires at 8 a.m., according to the weather service. Ross, Hocking, and Pike counties have also been placed under the advisory.
Temperatures are expected to plunge to as low as 35 degrees, the weather service predicts. The cold temperatures will result in frost formation and could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.
