Kentucky residents are navigating the rising floodwaters as rivers and streams across the state continue to swell after days of heavy rainfall.
Some rivers were expected to surpass their flood gates Sunday, which resulted in surrounding communities evacuating.

Multiple hazards in effect Monday
Multiple hazards have been issued by the National Weather Service in Louisville.
A flood warning is currently in effect until further notice for the following areas:
Ohio River at Clifty Creek affecting Jefferson and Trimble Counties
Ohio River at McAlpine Lower affecting Meade, Harrison, Floyd, Jefferson, Clark and Hardin Counties
Ohio River at McAlpine Upper affecting Jefferson, Oldham, Clark and Floyd Counties
Ohio River at Tell City affecting Perry and Hancock Counties
An update to the above warning will be issued on Monday at 3:30 p.m., according to NWS Louisville.
During a flood warning, residents are urged to turn around, don’t drown. It only takes 12 inches of water to sweep your car away.
Do not drive around barricades or drive through flooded areas.

Kentucky freeze warning
A freeze warning is also in effect for portions of southern Indiana and central Kentucky. Sub-freezing temperatures in the mid to upper 20s are expected.
This freeze warning is in effect from 2 a.m. Monday through 10 a.m. Tuesday.
