Police Lt. Katie Jenkins said Tuesday that detectives have not identified a suspect or determined a motive for the shooting.

Police interviewed two other people at the home, one who said the victim had been at the residence for only 10 to 15 minutes before the shooting occurred. Neither of the witnesses, who were inside the residence, could say who or why the shots were fired, according to the report.

The police officer reported he attempted to help the bleeding victim until medics arrived to transport him to a hospital.
