Sierra, an off-price outdoor essentials retailer, is set to open a new location June 14 in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
The 18,000-square-foot space, located next to Academy Sports + Outdoors at 1640 Veterans Parkway, will sell a variety of items, including apparel, footwear and outdoor gear.
Store representatives announced in a June 2 news release that Sierra will be hiring both full-time and part-time employees. Job listings on TJ Maxx’s website show pay starting at $12 an hour.
When does Sierra in Jeffersonville open?
Sierra’s grand opening is set to take place 8 a.m. June 14. There will be a DJ and giveaways for the store’s first day open, according to the release.
The store’s regular hours are 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Is Sierra the same as TJ Maxx?
Previously called Sierra Trading Post, Sierra is a sister brand of TJ Maxx angled toward outdoor activity rather than home goods.
Sierra was first established in 1986 and has 126 locations worldwide, according to the release.
