Kick off summer in Fall River with hoops, music and free food

Greater Fall River RE-CREATION is hosting its annual Kick-Off to Summer event at Ruggles Park, according to a community announcement.

The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 14, and will include the 5th annual 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament. Registration for the tournament is free and must be submitted by Wednesday, June 11, at 45 Rock St.

Kick-Off to Summer will feature a variety of activities, including a rock wall, obstacle course, face painting and music. Domino’s Pizza and other refreshments will be served.

The event is supported by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Gun Violence Prevention Program, Domino’s Pizza, the Community Development Block Grant Program, the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Office of the Mayor.
