Grosse Ile Parkway Bridge will close to vehicles and pedestrians again beginning Monday, June 23, at 7 a.m.
Phase two of its structural steel repairs is expected to last up to two weeks, depending on weather or unforeseen delays, according to Wayne County.

During the closure, barriers will be placed at both ends of the bridge, and all vehicle traffic will be rerouted via the Grosse Ile Toll Bridge.

The bridge, often referred to as the “free bridge,” closed for phase one of repairs on May 1 and reopened on May 22.
Drivers should follow posted detour signage, allow extra travel time and plan accordingly while the bridge is under repair, according to Wayne County.
