MASSILLON ‒ A lottery player just turned $5 into six figures.
A ticket in the Monopoly Bonus Spectacular 25x scratch-off purchased at the Giant Eagle, 2032 Lincoln Way E, won the top prize of $150,000, the Ohio Lottery announced on July 2. The grocery store will receive a $1,500 sales bonus.
The winner, who was not named in a news release, will take home about $108,000 after federal and state tax withholdings.
Four top prizes remain in play in the scratch-off game. Odds of winning a prize in the game are 1 in 3.94.
