Kentucky State Police officials have announced they will conduct several sobriety checkpoints across the commonwealth during the July 4 holiday weekend.
According to the KSP website, troopers from posts across Kentucky will be monitoring locations for various violations, including impaired driving and improper seat belt usage.
Officials added that checkpoint locations have been selected to place officials in areas “experiencing a high ratio of vehicular crashes resulting in injury and/or death.”
KSP Post 4, which covers the Louisville metro area and other nearby counties, has not announced any checkpoints in Jefferson County.
