Identity of man shot and killed in Norfolk early Thursday morning released by police

NORFOLK — The identity of a man shot and killed early Thursday morning has been released by authorities.

The Norfolk Police Department identified the man as 63-year-old Lee A. Charity of Norfolk. First responders found him at the scene, near the intersection of Sewells Point Road and Kennebeck Avenue, with a gunshot wound and pronounced Charity dead.

Police were called at about 2:40 a.m. Police said detectives are still investigating.
